Linksys with Apple?

So I'm looking to get a mac book soon, but I'm a little confused about the wireless part. I have two windows computers and a laptop and we use a wireless network for them in my house with a linksys WRT54GS router. I don't really understand the whole wi-fi thing, but will I be able to connect wirelessly from an apple mac book as I can with windows laptops? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'd really like to know. Thanks!
