Help me decide between a refurb 2.4ghz blackbook and the new 2.0ghz MB ($150 more after my student discount). I'm not concerned with gaming performance.

Is 2.0Ghz with 3MB L2 cache @ 1066Mhz FSB

<greater than or less than>

2.4Ghz with 3MB L2 cache @ 800Mhz FSB ?

    From a performance standpoint the old MB with the 2.4 ghz cpu will be faster for non-graphics tasks. Probably about 15-20%.

    But the new MB with the NVIDIA graphics will perform much better at tasks involving graphics.

    You need to figure out what you're going to use your machine for. Apps like Aperture use the graphics system.
