Fragmented File Names on Desktop

This drives me nuts. Occassionally a file name on the desktop will partially remain after it is moved, so that part of the first and last letter remain at the edge.....but none of the icon. Sleep does nothing....I think restarting fixes it. My thoughts are a problem with the "locking icons in same position" feature or possibly a graphics card problem, though my card is fully supported.



I am running a Pismo 500/384MB with OS 10.1.4.

    Yup.



    Chock it up to poor coding of the Finder on Apple's part. It has nothing to do with your graphics card.



    This bug has been there in various forms since the Public Beta. I get it frequently too (dual 500 G4 w/ AGP Radeon).
