iWeb is Apple's answer to easy website creation and comes bundled with the iLife package (iTunes, Garage Band, iPhoto, etc)
For the most part, it is a simple WYSIWYG editor that gives the user a bunch of templates to use in making a site.
Without too much effort, and even using only the templates provided, you could create a pretty good looking site which includes a home page, a photo page, a videos page and blog and your coffee will still be warm.
Of course, from there, the possibilities are almost endless. Although there are things that iWeb doesn't do, there are plenty of work arounds that will let you do it.
For example, on the site I just listed (Amber Dawn Photography) my wife needed her photography site to have the ability for customers send a booking online. Since iWeb doesn't natively give you any ways to create a form, I had to do that manually. Likewise with the flash slideshow on the front page.
I don't think anyone would argue that it is the best and most perfect web design program out there, but it certainly wins the 'best for the rest of us' award.

I bought iWeb this weekend and will install it this evening. Hopefully I'll have a site to publish soon.
If you've published a site with iWeb, let's see it. I'd love to get ideas from others and see what this app is actually capable of.
I'm most interested in migrating content from a Homepage over to an iWeb site and find out how well it works and how it looks.
Can do much in iWeb.
Check out our site on music below.
Buult for a home recording studio.

95% done in iWeb 2.0 with a couple of tweeks afterwards to add the contact form, statcounters, etc.
iWeb's new html snippet is a handy feature which makes editing a lot easier.
Enjoy,
what is iweb?
