I would like to speed up my MBP Santa Rosa 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo with 4GB DDR2 667Mhz. I am running Leopard. Is it possible to run faster RAM in my MacBook Pro? Maybe DDR3 1066? or just some 800Mhz DDR2?
No. The bus is designed to work with a certain type of ram. DDR3 definitely won't work, and while it MIGHT recognize "faster" DDR2, it will only access it at the 667Mhz rate.
