.DMG and Reason problem

Hi I'm trying to install reason onto my Alu Macbook. I mount the dmg file then copy across the reason application file. The when you run Reason for the first time it then asks for the reason disc to be inserted and wont recognize the dmg as the reason disc. A friend has done the same thing but didn't have any problems with it recognizing it.

    my guess it's the mounting point. you might try terminal commands, a sudo mount of the dmg, but I don't know what the flags would be :-/
