Dongle support in Classic?

Does OS X support Dongles (hardware keys) for apps running in classic? My brief experience with 10.0 said no, but maybe there have been enhancements since that I am not aware of.

Thanks in advance for your time.

P.S. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't find it anywhere when I searched for it.

    What do you need the dongle for?

    Have you contacted the manufacturer to see if they're working on a OSX port?

    I use a structural analysis program called Multiframe. They have stopped Mac development back at 5.2 with the Windows version now at 8.something. This is the ONLY structural analysis program available for the Mac. I would pay big $$$ (well for me at least ) for them to bring out a new Mac version, but I just do not see it in the cards.

    I am planning to contact the company that makes the software anyway, but I would like to know more about the current state of affairs before I begin to spout off.

    I just want to know if I will be able to run it in the classic window or if I will need to switch back to an actual OS9 boot.

    Thanks in advance for your time.

    Ouch! Sounds like those developers gave the Mac up for dead.

    Sorry, I haven't any experience with hardware dongles under Classic. I was just curious as to what you might be using.

    Not that I know anything about structural analysis, but I remembered coming across something when I read your post. Check out <a href="http://www.macsapone.net"; target="_blank">http://www.macsapone.net;

    They have a commercial and free version for OS9 and are working on an OSX version, preview available for download.

    God bless you man!!!! I am going to download the trial of that puppy later on today and see how she looks. This is the best news I've had all month! If it is half as good as it looks I believe that I can make a sale of 5 copies by the end of September! (We are just a small company)
