AT&T posturing for the future...
AT&T Inc. said Friday (8th) it will buy the assets of Verizon Wireless in 79 mainly rural areas for $2.35 billion, a deal that will affect more than 1 million subscribers.
Verizon Wireless was forced to sell the service areas, which are spread over 18 states, to satisfy regulatory conditions of its purchase of Alltel Corp. - Associated Press.
One step forward and two steps back for Verizon? A lot of $$$ for rural area "customers". What is really going on here? Just a thought. What are yours?

He hasn't been able to get an iPhone in ND, because ATT doesn't serve the area (They have roaming agreements, but not as a primary provider.) Looks like that's going to change.
"Posturing" would mean something along the lines of AT&T making empty gestures or pulling PR stunts of little value.
Unless, of course, that's actually what you mean, but I don't get that impression from the post.
