    <a href="http://www.railheaddesign.com"; target="_blank">Railheaddesign</a> reports: [quote]Mac OS X 10.2.4 Seeded

    Apple just seeded both the client and server versions of Mac OS X 10.2.4 build 6I14. Developers were asked to focus on the following areas with the client: ATI Video Software/NVidia, Audio Software, CoreGraphics, Printing, Finder/Search Engine/Sherlock and HIToolbox/HLTB Components.

    10.2.4 should be available by month?s end, and it?s current download size is 58.4MB.<hr></blockquote>

    :eek: Another large download!

    High Level Tool Box, I'm guessing. Like HIToolbox, they'd be part of the attempt to bring the Carbon APIs out of the 1980s.

    The point updates for 10.2 have been singularly impressive and comprehensive, so I can see 10.2.4 being another big one. Apple must be furiously laying groundwork for 10.3.

    I've read that this update will finally give Epson the capabilities necessary to write full-featured printer drivers. :cool:

    Hope so. The graphics department's wide format Stylus 3000 has been a Classic-only mess!

    Epson. I don't say the name, I spit it. Ptoy!

    I found the following Genius Bar question from a short while ago:

    <a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=7&t=002609"; target="_blank">http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=7&t=002609</a>;

    On a lark I installed Gimp and CUPS as described in this Genius Bar question... I only have an Epson Photo 870, but it works fine. In fact it lets me choose some different options as well.

    The stylus 3000 is supported by Gimp-Print:

    <a href="http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/p_Supported_Printers.php3"; target="_blank">http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/p_Supported_Printers.php3</a>;

    You can find lots more information here:

    <a href="http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3"; target="_blank">http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3</a>;

    Don't forget to grab a copy of EPS/Ghostscript as well. (Link on the home page)

    It was an easy download and setup.
