MacPro - need advice

Hi,

\t

I want to buy a MacPro, I consider the version with 4 cores (2,66) or 8 cores (2,26). 4 cores are enough to me. But I need 16 GB of RAM.

Officially 4 cores version can only have 8 GB of ram. It is true?\tYou can't install 16 GB in 4 cores (4x 4GB modules)?

Can someone do such tests or have such MacPro?

Thanks in advance for help.

Why? What are you planning on running on that MacPro?

I am sure the quad-core supports 4GB memory modules. Go to Other World Computing http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Mac-Pro-Memory
