So, significant can be whatever your whimsy dictates?
or simply common sense...

I can't help the limitations of the people you associate with. Discussing model distinction in normal conversation would seem rather dull. Must be an exciting circle you run with. I work with all geeks in software development and that is not a conversation that ever comes up.
For the rest of the world, the original iPhone was their first model. The 3G was the next and the 3GS is the latest. Colour and capacity were available options. If you choose to differentiate models by what are sold as options, that's great. They do indeed result in different model numbers.
LOL as I read this: http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/patterson/57664 and it's featured in Yahoo's 'Featured' section on its main page. It's interesting to see Yahoo promote Google's product.
What's the reasoning of this prediction? So a bunch of various brands of new phones coming out with the same open-source OS will overtake iPhone?
iPhone already has the big leapfrog lead with a well integrated all-in-one 'platform' - multi-touch, phone, Internet device and music player with tons of large variety of apps. No other phone can do like the iPhone which is capable of leveraging the popular iTunes as a multi-media player.
This may sounds like comparing apples with oranges, but looks at how many OEMs have attempted making computers with another open-source OS, Linux, in various flavors. Has any of them been able to overtake the dominant Windows market share? What makes Windows so dominant? It already has a big lead in the 'platform' market share like the iPhone does, and, more importantly, apps, apps and apps!
On the contrary, I think by 2012 not only iPhone will overtake the current no. 1 spot in consumer market, but the no. of iPhone apps available is so tremendous that no other phone or OS can catch up any longer.
After reading the reviews of the G1,. G2 Android phones, I went to the local T-Mobile store check the products. The store looked dead with just a couple of customers in the afternoon.
The G1 phone looked clunky and bulky with the keyboard. It had too many buttons and the menu structure was not intuitive. Plus it would hang-up. The touch feature was not smooth and nothing like the iPhone.
The G2 phone without the keyboard was just as bad. Same lame menu, and poor performance.
The only way Apple is going to loose to Android is if Apple stops innovating and insists on staying with one carrier like the USA... which is unlikely. I do not know what kind of grass the author is smoking or if he just trying to kill the stock price so his clients can get in. A lot of investors got left behind.

Using both G1 and iPhone and for me iPhone has too few buttons..going to springboard to switch between applications that you use simultaneously is major pain. Android is much better for multitasking. That bulky keyboard outperforms iPhone softkeyboard any time. iPhone's "more polished" but G1 is OK..it is not pain to use it. On the other hand, there are applications, that are not simply possible on iPhone (at least at the AppStore). Apple needs to work on multitasking to stay competitive.

Android overtaking the iPhone in overall market share does not equate to Apple losing. If Apple maintains their ability to take a higher share of the profit from the market, then they still 'win'. It really does not matter much if Android's number of unit sales are higher than Apple's.
Quite certain you are indeed quite familiar with when to seek therapy. Hope they use small words with you as well.
Sorry, can't help you there, but I believe most areas have some sort of referral service you can call. You'll want to mention your anger issues so they can get you to the right therapist.

You continue to write with such familiarity with the process. It does appear you are becoming confused in your last few posts. Your last post in particular seems to be in response to an imagined request for information about your therapist. Added to your bitterness, general confusion and paranoid delusions about the google monster, perhaps another visit is in order.

And, I hear you hang with techstud and nonvendorfan on the weekends! Must be a blast!

Quite likely you would find it a blast. But there, as here, the conversation might be over your head.

Yes, I'm sure I wouldn't be able to make sense of anything you were talking about.

Unfortunately, yes, I've had to deal with far too many people with your level of intellect.

I guess that might explain your constant bitterness. At least you are learning to accept your limitations, if not overcome them.

Bitter? I'm feeling quite cheery.
Maybe you're projecting. Nothing that therapy, 3 times a week, for 10-15 years, wouldn't be able to clear up for you though, I'm sure.
