I'm a little boy in a bedroom playing with my dinky and I think Apple are EVIL!

    Or not.

As in most things the difference between Apple and other global mega-corporations is that Apple are good at it.

we don't know that it would be $1000. they might be letting that figure out to gauge how many would be willing to go that high. and then release it for only $700. catching all those folks AND the ones that said "I like the idea of the device but that price is a tad too high for me"

although I might go for $1000 unlocked and off contract, with perhaps the carriers bringing it down to $700 with a subsidy (2 year contract most likely).

but $1000 stuck on ATT and forced into a contract for the 3g, no way. I don't care how cool it is. I live in an area with city created free Wifi that covers me just fine.

you can tell who's from Apple and actually controlling leaks in that thread

no big deal, but yes they have great toys and such, that being said ...

there is a borderline between normal secrecy for any company and any product/project and

dictatorship. from the inside, you can tell that the line has been crossed way and far out

The story itself doesn't surprise me, but what would surprise me is if anyone would hire John Martellaro after that story.

Ingenious. And to think, Ballmer is about to make a complete fool of himself tonight with his keynote. Oh, boy... I can't wait.

When is that moron delivering his out of keynote boys? Comedy hour.

I guess it's more than just someone thinking that these writers were watching too many spy movies as indicated in the article below:

My question is, who's watching the watchers? At some point, the chain of surveillance has to end, and that point is usually those who are doing the surveillance. I suspect the golden nuggets of information that sometimes leak from "anonymous" corporate Apple employees comes from these very people. I'm sure Apple does indeed plan "controlled leaks," but it is also human nature to tell others about someone else's big secrets.

Unless their announcement is even better than the speculations. Like the new AppleTV with content from every major player including Netflix, Boxee, Hulu, Disney, etc. All for $199

I may have to get off these meds......
