A Clockwork Orange was pretty freaky.

1984 was academically horrifying. The book, though, not the movie. Movie stunk.

    Soylent Green.

I havn't seen all that many horrifying movies. I need to see more.

The Shining, the bit with the kid riding around on his trike - you just know bad stuff's gonna happen.

Anything with Alicia Silverstone or rap stars posing as actors. Those scare me way more than Alien, which was one of the scariest damn movies I've ever seen. The Shining is a masterpiece horror flick too.

    Schindler's List

Because its REAL. Its not some hollywood popcorn movie. Its not some made up reality. Its not some bleak possible future.

It shows how horrible humans can be (or are) to each other and that is a lot more horrifying than anything imaginary. You can leave other movies and shrug it off or forget about it, but Schindler's List is truth.

Good point, although I'd be careful if I were you, about equating ANYTHING that comes from Hollywood as absolute truth. There is much truth TO it and to the story itself I agree, but even Schindler's List has its exaggerations and "creative interpretations".

But in general yes, the only thing scarrier than "How High" that I can think of, is Schindler's List.

Anyone ever see the Japanese movie "Evil Dead Trap?" That would be my choice.

My gf was pretty freaked out by the ending of Hannibal. Had nightmares if I recall correctly.

None of you are ANYWAY NEAR THE MARK. Unless of course you are all made of foam rubber. This is the title of a SERIOUS horror and, it is also A TRUE STORY about the horrendous treatment of the Chinese, Russians, Americans by the Japanese and anyone else they could get their hands on during the 2nd. world war to perform their biological (and other) experiments on with/without anaesthetic. This makes Auschwitz and the Soviet gulags look like kindergarten. A slightly "milder" version by the same director is called "Men behind the sun."

    Enjoy/beware.....
