iTunes quits when trying to sync iPad

There seems to be a conflict with the Canon h264 codec - it's crashing iTunes when I try to sync my iPad. Don't have any problem with my iPhone.

    What happens if you pull the Canon component onto the desktop while you're syncing? And, have you filed a bug report?

    Why do you have a canonH264 decode component? Does it do something QuickTime won't do natively? If yes, have you tried Perian instead (which probably won't suffer from this incompatibility you're facing).

    I assume it installed for my Canon 7d to display the files from that camera. Haven't yet had chance to see if it works ok without it.
