Checking out Wired's latest mag, March, I found on page 39 the Archos Jukebox Multimedia. It has a 10 GB HD and it has slots to put in a camera, camcorder, all sorts of stuff. It's already able to play MP3zss ofcourse. $325, less than the iPod. Arg!

If the iPod is going to be anything more than an MP3 player, Apple needs to respon to this right away.

Is it too utt-bugly to be worth thinking about? I admit it's not the first palm-sized video playing machine, but it's in the same line as iPod, only a little geekier.

If memory serves me correctly, the Archos Jukebox is larger than the iPod, heavier than the iPod, has a terrible interface, and uses USB for slow as hell connections.

The 20GB edition has USB 2.0. That's not slow. However, I agree to the rest what you said.
