REALLY excellent work! He practically had to hack it to pieces to get it to work, but it does, and it's awesome!

    It is not practically, it is deeply !!! I couldn't tear apart my iPad for that. For hardcore DIY-ers only! Jailbreaking an iphone and using it as a modem looks like a piece of cake now.

    It's cool that he did this, and I realize the reason he did it is because he wanted to prove he could.



    But all that effort to save the hassle of carrying one more device that fits easily in any pocket or slips into any bag?



    And degrading sound quality and WiFi reception while you're at it, not to mention voiding the warranty on a $649 device as well as the warranty on the MiFi?



    When I get my iPad it'll work identically to the way his does, except that I'll be carrying the MiFi device in my pocket, I'll be able to use it when I don't have my iPad with me, and I'll save $150 on the price of the iPad.
