My keyboard keys have got re-assigned

I was wondering if anyone had a solution to the following:

Somehow my keyboard keys on my MacBook have got re-assigned such that the questionmark / forward-slash key now works as the mute. The mute button does nothing, the plus / equals button does nothing, and the number nine key does nothing.

Any ideas please

Thanks

Try this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379. If that doesn't work, you may have a faulty logic board, misbehaving software, some ridiculously corrupted (or extremely tailored) input settings, or some other problem as yet unidentified.

You may have inadvertently switched to another keyboard configuration. Check it out (on the top right in your menu bar) and reset if necessary.
