Who thinks Apple will release a G5 today?

Everyone who 'predicted' the imac said it would be a G3. Well, it's a G4 - so where does that leave the desktops?

Count me in as one of the optimistic who believes the G5 will be introduced today.

And, I also believe it'll be a great show.

I dont think it will be. I dont think Im being pessimitic either. I think we'll seep 1.2-4 Ghz G4s in dual configs (atleast 1).

It doesn't seem like a G5 is ready for large scale production. Keep in mind, the original iMac had a G3 and so did the PowerMacs at the time.I dont thin ka G4 iMac means a G5 PM.

    Yeah, those are the specs.

I think the iMac's brought me back down to the ground. I don't think there will be a G5. iMac at 800MHz possibly, and then G4's from 867MHz to 1.2GHz. If we hit 1.4 today I'll consider it well beyond my reasoned expectations.

According to that site, NONE of the Powermacs include a Superdrive.
