MacBook Pro

My wife is looking to buy a MacBook Pro to replace her old iMac. Anyone here run CS5 on their MacBook Pro? Any performance issues? She's looking at the following:

2.2GHz quad-core

Intel Core i7

4GB 1333MHz

750GB 5400-rpm1

Intel HD Graphics 3000

AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 1GB GDDR5

I know 4GB of RAM and a 1GB graphics card are sufficient, my concern is whether a 2.2 GHz processor is sufficient. Thanks.

Quad 2.2GHz is plenty and they dynamically overclock cores when they aren't all in use up to 3.3GHz for that model. They are also hyper-threaded so they behave like an 8-core processor.

That Macbook Pro benchmarks higher than the current entry-level Mac Pro.

You could benefit from SSD and 8GB RAM running those apps but you can upgrade the machine over time. As it is, it's a very fast machine and very capable of running the CS Suite.
