Lion will only boot in safe mode

After installing DavMail a reboot was needed. I rebooted but stopped at the apple and spinning gear. After 10-15 minutes I forced a shutdown. When I restarted it goes to the apple and spinning gear and stays there. I can boot into safe mode without any problems.

The OS is Lion 10.7.2

The following is the log entry:

_Text [0x90c05000-0x9c46000)_eh_frame[0x90c45ad0-0x90c45ff8) /usr/lib/libauto.dylib

Can anyone help?

Thanks, Gayle

    Isn't davmail just an application?

    http://davmail.sourceforge.net/macosxsetup.html

Did you perhaps have to install the Java runtime and that's what failed? If so, you can attempt to reinstall that manually in safe mode.

Can you try booting in verbose mode (hold command-v at boot) to see where it reaches during the boot process?
