appleinsider internet problem

i live in the uk.


i find that logging on to applinsider takes about three minutes. very slowww


no other site takes me that long.


is this just me, or are others having this problem?

    Let's make sure it's nothing on your end first. Is it just AI that you're having this trouble with? What's your connection speed? Have you tried clearing your caches? What browser are you using?

    i use safari (up to date)
    caches cleared
    speed 6.75mb/s
    all other sites are ok
    it just seems to be apple insider

    It might be a DNS issue. You can set DNS server values in your network settings (advanced > DNS). You can use OpenDNS servers listed here:

    http://www.opendns.com/business-solutions/premium-dns/benefits/

    or Google's:

    https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/

    Once you apply the change, it should eliminate any lookups as a performance issue.
