How do you type pi? Not the edible kind..... but instead, the mathematical one (3.141592654). Is there a way to do it in excel?

Thanks

Trying to get it to use Pi/2 as the notation on a graphs axis. Thanks though.

You can get π from Word (Inset>Symbol>Symbols>Normal Text) and paste it into Excel. From there you can play around and maybe get it where you want it. I was able to set all the y values to π. I stopped when Excel refused π/2. Maybe you can find a way. -- I did see that the Format Axis>Number had Text formating.

    Alt-p for a Mac.

Enable Keyboard viewer in your Menu Bar (flag icon) and play around with letters and the modification keys. There's lot's there.

Edit: Just re-read and saw that this was for Excel. 'Scuse.

PS Just checked—it seems to work in Excel, too.
