Ok, I'm teaching myself PS7 and I'm tring to figure out how i can use the healing brush across different layers (or all layers). The cloneing tools allows me to do this, but I can't figure out how with the healing brush.

So someone please tell me, what am i missing?

TIA.

Ok, I opened an image file (.jpg), selected half of it, cut and pasted it as a new layer. I then selected the healing brush and alt/clicked the region on the first layer I wanted to heal. Then I clicked on the new layer (in the layers palette)and applied the healing brush to that and it worked. This was a quicky experiment (I'm at work) so try it and see what happens.
