Cant retrieve Mail from Acct. IE5:Error 3279

Every so often I have to trash my Internet preferences to log back on using IE 5.0(2022).

I suspect its after I use IE5 offline, albeit it doesnt happen every time. Just reinstalled my 9.1OS & my preference?got to be 326k big, more than ever before. Explanation given DBox; a strange networking error was received, perhaps your network settings are inactive.

Apple knowledge base has nothing. re #3279

    Just clear your mind and look to another browser. repeat this mantra:"MS sucks" untill happy.
