New G4 upgrade cards

I just wanted to find out what people think of the new 800mhz to 1ghz processor upgrade cards from powerlogix and sonnet. It seems like a pretty good deal to me, for $850 I can get a 800mhz and a Radeon 8500 for my old G4 350 AGP. This would give it better performance than the new iMac at lest than half the price(the bus speeds are the same and the Radeon is much better than a Gforce MX).

maybe this will have better luck in the Genius bar, no one seems to be biting here.

    Othewise check out <a href="http://www.xlr8yourmac.com"; target="_blank">www.xlr8yourmac.com</a>

they tend to review just about every bit of mac hardware out there. if anyone's gone over that card combo it would be them.

try <a href="http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/cpucards.html"; target="_blank">this</a> link and see if that's got what you need. if not, you can try e-mailing the guy who runs this site. i've sent messages to him before and always gotten quick replies, and he's run into just about everything there is out there.

Guys, I don't think any of the recently announced cards have actually shipped yet (Other World Computing has had the 1GHz card at "available in 3 days" for about 6 days now), but as soon as anyone gets their paws on them, xlr8yourmac is going to be the first place to look.

And I'm waiting until I see someone's in-the-flesh experience. I want 1GHz for my Cube, but I don't want to shell out for big bucks until I know it's OK.
