Printer (Apple Talk) problem
A friend of mine has an original iMac with OS 8.6.
His Epson 740 (USB) printer stopped working.
I installed the latest driver and when we try to chose
the Epson via the CHOOSER we are told that it cannot
be used for Apple Talk is being used by some other program.
There are no other programs running and Apple Tlak is TURNED OFF.
After trying this several times we got another message stating that:
Document cannot be printed. Try to find existing resourde (-192).
Can anyone please tell me what could causing this problem?
Thanks in advance.

then open it back up, and turn it off, and close the control panel. see if that works. (you might want to try restarting too)
Or delete the preferences. A little simpler.

We tried deleting the Apple Tlak prefs, but it dod not help.
Then we trashed all the Epson software and
installed the latest driver and the problem STILL exists.
