How extensive are apple's warranties?

The clip for my 10GB ipod case broke today. Not only are new cases $40 (!) but apple also says that it's, "For 5GB and 10GB iPods with mechanical wheel only." So, does anyone know if my iPod carrying case is covered in the warranty? If not, does anyone know where I can get another one of these cases? Thanks, in advance, for any help.

    it is covered, just go to a genius bar with the broken cover and they will bring out a now one or they will order a replacement for you... happened to me too... kinda disappointing when it first happened... I should be getting mine in on tuesday... just in time to see the new iMacs

    about the warranty... if it is something they can fix in the store w/o sending it out, chances are they will do it...



    be sure to bring your iPod as they need the serial #
