Connecting to an iDisk in Dreamweaver

I am trying to connect to my iDisk using Dreamweaver to upload a site.

In the Webdav information box I entered the site as <a href="http://idisk.mac.com."; target="_blank">http://idisk.mac.com</a>; I then put in my username and password.

When I try to connect I get http erro #404 and a message saying Dreamweaver cannont get the folder information.

I have also tried doing <a href="http://idisk.mac.com/username/"; target="_blank">http://idisk.mac.com/username/</a>;

and <a href="http://idisk.mac.com/username/sites/"; target="_blank">http://idisk.mac.com/username/sites/</a>;

Nothing seems to work. Whay am I doing wrong?

note: I can load the iDisk fine in Finder.

    No personal experience, but the typical way user sites are set up are using the ~ symbol.

    Have you tried idisk.mac.com/~username ?

    Just a thought.

    .Mac does not use the tilde, so that wouldn't make a difference. In fact, .Mac is so kind as to set up an alias for tilde directory, so that an erroneously added tilde will lead to the right user. E.g. <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/~escher/"; target="_blank">http://homepage.mac.com/~escher/</a>; will direct you to <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/escher/"; target="_blank">http://homepage.mac.com/escher/</a>; . Don't know anything about using WebDAV in Dreamweaver.

    Does anyone know about WebDav in Dreamweaver. Some one has to have used Dreamweaver and iDisk.

    The only way around I know of is by mounting the iDisk to the desktop and use it as a local/network resource in Dreamweaver. This is a crappy kludge, but it will work, VERY slow at times, but it will work.

    Dreamweaver is obviously doing something very funky with the WebDav protocol as almost everything else I've tried connects to my iDisk perfectly. The lack of support on Macromedia's site (try doing a search for iDisk in the Drewamweaver support section - you get nothing) is also very frustrating. I was hoping that the 6.1 upgrade would fix this, I guess I'll have to wait for 6.2 <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />
