i used a 20gig ibm disk in a no name external usb enclosure with the cypress USB Storage 1.4J driver all the way up to 10.2.3 with no problems

upgraded to 10.2.4

now the usb enclosure doesnt work with any os on any computer anymore...the disk itself works...the enclosure shows up in apple system profiler...but no disk mounts...utilitys dont help

help!

there are poeple out there..even on macintouch (.com) with the exact same problem...

is it dead forever? did apple kill it? is this insane?

am i insane?

apple currently examines the problem

anyone lost their device too?

400mg tranfer pipe...forget about usb...thats why you use mac.....usb is for periferals....not hard drives......

I've had an issue with a firewire drive dismounting since the update.

I unchecked the option in the energy saver system pref

"Put the hard disk to sleep when possible", restarted and all was well.
