Syncing the Sites folder

Is there an application out there that is able to syncronize the contents on my ~/Sites/ folder and my web hosting service ? Id really like to have an application that will keep my files online up to date with those stored on my local hard drive!



Also, is there an application that can syncronize the contents of a MySQL database ?



Freeware, Shareware, Commercial, doesnt really matter!

    I have heard that the terminal command rsync may be able to do something like this. I haven't had a chance to ever use rsync, (it is one of those things I have been meaning to play around with but haven't had the time yet), so I can't say for sure if it will work, but you may want to take a look at it.



    If you are unfamilar with the terminal, and the unix part of OS X, <a href="http://www.osxfaq.com"; target="_blank">www.osxfaq.com</a> is a good place to start.
