Help connecting an apple display to a PC

Hey all!



I just built a new PC to play some games and a DVI to ADC adapter to connect my 22" cinema display.



I power on the PC for the first time and nothing happens...the power is on the monitor because if you press the power button it comes on, but then fades away.



Any ideas...

    Hmm, remembering that i have a DVI port on the apple as well i tried to connect to it via the adc adapter and the same thing happened...

    What graphics card do you have?



    As far as I can remember it will only work using the radeon 8500 card and upwards using the DVi ADV adapter the adapter has to be the apple one too not the Dr Bott version.

    its a radeon 9000 pro and the adapter is the apple version



    I tried the apple again and it worked through its DVI.

    Damn, i really don't want to buy another monitor...
