iTunes burning question...

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
I have been getting some very good (legal) live recordings from the Further Network. They are mostly live shows recorded, edited and compressed within a folder. Since they're live they are cut between songs with audience noise left in.

In iTunes (Version 3.0 on OS 10.1.5) I have my preferences set to:

Effects: Crossfade playback

Burning: Gap Between songs - None

Well, what I get is a seamless playback through the tracks, but at the end of the CD recording a blank track appears at the end...not really a track...just seems to "play" nothing on my Sony CD player. In the Track LED indicator there's no track number for this...just the letters "VA"...kinda sucks...they can last as long as what's remaining on the CD...

Anyone know what or why this is happening? What in iTunes that I could tweak to get rid of this?

Thanks <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

Geez, sorry. I have been on a tightrope these past few days and I tend to get nasty for no reason... <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

I have come to the conclusion that since iTunes is free I shouldn't expect it to work miracles. I find Toast a whole lot better...iTunes still will be my primary tool for organizing mp3s.
