How do you know it's Google following you, or that it's Google alone responsible for the ads you see? Did you bother to look at the huge number of trackers that aren't Google just here at AI? The 25 I see when logged on are listed in post 8 above. The names change on occasion too so your list might vary.

I guess blaming Google for everything ad-related on the internet is like asking for a Coke. It's a catch-all generic that covers a whole lotta different companies products.

So how do Google make money then?

By the way everyone reading this, here's a tip try adding Little Snitch, Ad blocker and use DuckDuckGo.com for search and cease being probed up the exterior by Google et al.

Meanwhile for ad free iTunes radio and my entire 80 Gig CD collection available on any device we have in the family at anytime, anywhere with internet wifi along with the rest of Apple's free eco system, I happily pay Apple the $24.95 a year. It's cheap as hell for an amazing service. In fact I just renewed mine.

LMAO… google trolls sure are grasping for straws! What percentage of Apple's multi-billion dollar revenue comes from tracking its users?

What percentage of evil GOOGLE's revenue comes from tracking its users? Close to 95%?

    Hehe…

After Sn?wd?n's reveals, only fools and cultists still use Google products.

While you're worrying about Google these are the others tracking your every move just here at AppleInsider according to Ghostery. And unlike most FUD about Google some of these guys may really be selling what information they find out about you.

High-profile and closely monitored Google would be the least of my worries.

Please can you ask your helpers there to give us a break down of the above list's annual income from their devious practices and include Google's too so we gain a sense of the relative scale they all have in the great anal probing done by these creepy companies. I assume you can 'search' for the data'? :D

I would be quite interested if Apple has an email service that's immune to NSA subpoenas. So far even firms like Lavabit specializing in encrypted email have folded.

...or you can buy CD's and rip them to iTunes or if you are so inclined pirate music and add it to iTunes and there it is.

The "have to buy from iTunes" is a furphy which has been around for ten years, I'm amazed it still exists.

Never heard of a "furphy" until now. Interesting etymology.

Apple doesn't need to have iTunes or iBooks on Android. Their hardware sales cover most of slim margins on their software...however, those slim margins are starting to get fatter. If you sell something cheap, make sure you sell a lot of them (in other words).
