iPod/Mac OR iPod/PC

folks,

Actually, i need some ideas. I'm definitly in business to order a new iPod, but don't know which one to choose. PC or Mac version.

I primarly play rock `n roll with my iBook. But some friends of mine use PC laptops. I would like to share my iPod with them? A Dilemma?

I'm pretty sure you can use the iPod PC for both, but the mac version is mac only...

Threads about iPods should be posted in Digital Hub, guys.

    Thanks. Moving there now.

I'd advise you buy a Mac version - it's just much more seamless, and I prefer the way iTunes organises itself. You're much less likely to have an unmanageable artists list for example. I've also found that the ability to use the iPod on both Mac and PC is difficult - I haven't figured it out yet (I have an iPod for Windows, a dell desktop, and a Powerbook G4).

A question to y'all out there - if I make the change to the operating system from Windows to Mac, Apple says it won't support the iPod anymore. Seems a bit harsh. Any thoughts on the implications for this?
