Nope, I opened GICQ and those were the two people on ICQ at the time. My GICQ userlist isn't very big. Less than 10 people. I hardly use ICQ at all any more, and when I do, it's via MICQ (console-based.)
DexM is a high school friend of mine. Asterus, I've never met in person.
While I wait for your .png file to download...
Does everybody here like .png files? I have never had the need to use them...I usually set-up a picture in Photoshop's Save to Web and as unprogressive .jpgs under 100kb for memory sake.
Would there be an adjvantage to saving desktop pics as .pngs or is this a feature (save as or for screen grabs) under OS X?
By the way Jonathan...in IE 5/OS 9+ the download failed
You certainly don't use desktop images saved at 555kb or more do you? Or is this just a screen grab?
png files are smaller in size compared to the compression distortion of jpgs. Meaning you can get pngs at around the same size of jpgs.. but they will look better. Pngs are also great for transparent gif replacement. Like my sig.. see how the drop shadows are smooth? The background is transparent and the shadow still look good.
Pngs would be used TONS more .. but right now IE for Windows don't support them fully. Even though every other modern browser does. Yes even IE for the Mac. Considering 70% of the world uses IE to browse it would be silly to design a site using transparent PNGS. Looking at my sig in IE for Windows it will look as if I have a white/grey background surrounding it.
Just another case where MS is holding technology back

using IE6 under XP your sig shows fine as an Inline picture. Maybe the PNG support issue has been resolved with that combo? Hmmm...

Nope it's still broke. My guess is the default background grey color matches closely with this one.
IE 6 supports full PNG alpha transparency, but stupid Microsoft isn't putting out IE 6 for Window 95--the least crappy Microsoft OS available. Lame!
Also, thanks for the link to the calendar app.

Brad well it's not working on all XP IE 6's then. Look at the link I posted.

Some rootless XFree goodness.
artman.. where'd you get that shot?
and... is it available in 1152x (768 would be best)?

YES! The actual file was huge...I'll post a link to it soon...
DAMN. I lost the original file...
Here's the PSD file of the desktop I designed.
Hope this will help.

Like a Deus Ex Machina ending for a play.
Silly Berklians, don't they teach you anything?
Nothing too special I guess...
