So this is my situation. I?m 15, I go to high school from 9 am to 3:45pm, I live in Toronto Canada. I need a job, so that I can be more independent. Can you give me any suggestion on how and where I can get a job. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

Well I can do any teen job I guess. But I have been working with Photoshop for like 4 years now, i have good knowledge of Flash3 and 5, some 3d max and Maya, and good drawing skills. I could freelance but it hard to find a project on the net with ought previous experience.

Now when It comes to programming I know ASP, Java, VisualBasic, XML. <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

I dunno what the siuation is in Canada. In America you look for a job by looking in the Want Ads in the Classifieds section of any local newspaper.

If you're looking for an INTERESTING job, i.e., one that uses your computer skills, go to a local college and sekek out their placement office. They should know some local businesses that want skilled workers.

Why don't you go to the local movie theatre or shopping mall and ask for a Job there? Nobody's going to hire a kid for serious graphics work.

Do you have a web site with some resume material? Some examples?

I don't see why a 'serious' job can't be given to a 15 year old. No reason why he can't prove himself.

When I was in high school I had a friend that drew some of the most amazing comics I had ever seen. By the time he was 17 he was hired at a comics publisher and I think he went on to some great designer school.

I was just 16 when I started running printing presses like the one in my iMovie 20 years ago.

I have to fire a press operator this week and replace him.

C'mon man, you've got a good 60 years of independence to look forward to. Don't waste your formative years at some pissant part time job for such a silly reason. Check out what you like in life now, so when you're off to college, you get a big heads up over everyone else. Spend this time getting to know yourself better, or those around you. I know this may sound corny, but it will be worth later I promise.

I have to agree with Gigawire. Unless you need a job (ie. for money) or can find a job you really enjoy, don't waste your fleeting youth.
