People might unbox an iPhone and briefly admire the exterior then most shove it into a plastic case because they are paranoid about scratches effecting resale value.
Just remember to open the new iPhone box above something soft, because it will likely go sailing due to the box being overly tight and the phone sitting at the very top, so while trying to open it, if the box is not perfectly level, the phone is going to fall out.
It looks absolutely nothing like a samsung phone, but thanks for playing. Also, every single iPhone leak has been declared "ugly" by the internet. The 3GS, 4, 5- All have been "ugly", with claims of Apple "losing it" while proceeding to demolish the records of the previous model and declared universally as the most beautiful phones on the market after release. Nothing will change this time. The perfect example is the iPhone 4, which was brutally assaulted when leaked as a "fake" because there's no way Apple would release such an abomination- yet still today is held as the standard for smartphone design and will likely remain the most iconic iPhone, ever.
I keep thinking back to when we saw leaked images of the iPhone 5 c and everybody said that Apple would never do that design… That the glass on the top and bottom looks so ugly and un-Apple like and the design is not something Jony Ive would ever do.
The mockups always looked a little crappy.
Even the leak images of the production lines looked crappy. But after is was all said and done and we watched the actual commercial that Apple made for it.... The beautiful set pictures… And then how the light catches the curves in chamfered edges.
We were all sold.
I have a strong feeling that this is the phone and we will be made believes again.
Pretty, I really like the design. I hope the iPhone screen is a lot tougher then the previous models though, with about a quarter of all iPhones sold having suffered a cracked screen. That's pretty bad, so I really hope something is done about it with the new version. In the last year alone there was three new shops dedicated to nothing but fixing cracked phones, iPhone being their biggest business. I realize the backlash for such a statement will be strong, but it's the truth. How many of you guys have had to replace your iPhone screen, my daughter is already on her third screen but we bought insurance for such things. I can imagine others aren't so lucky, it could get quite expensive.
I have had 8 iPhones in the family since Verizon started carrying it. Not one has had a broken screen. Now the guy I work with drops his at least once a day. Everybody is different.

Oh I fully realize that the majority have never had a broken screen before, that doesn't mean there isn't a problem though. I'm just hoping that the new Sapphire screens improve the situation.
The 'outside' of the phone has always been eye candy.
Left brain-lock alert. I'm surprised to see this from you.
Ive's "designs" are really sculptures, meant for touch as much as vision. Remember he's the son of a silversmith. Silver is the most tactile metal.
All his work, the secret of its appeal, is due to how it feels in your hand as much as how it looks to your eye even if you don't realize it because it's sealed off in your poor neglected right brain. And even if you put it in a case, you know that elegance is there whenever you want to undress it. Yes, it's cryptoerotic. Ive called it sexy, because he'd lose all credibility if he talked like me.
Eye-candy indeed. Like a 356 Porsche is about eye candy.

25%? Rubbish! In your household, maybe. I guess you all have butter-fingers.

I hope for a stronger screen as well. I am scared to death of dropping it. I do have a case on it, but sometimes in the dead of night when no one is watching, I strip her down and fondle her.

Just as long I don't see an Xray of an iPhone stuck in your rectum, fondle away. Oh and don't forget, Siri is still underaged.

It's the svelteiest iPhone we've ever made.

That's next year's.
I know. I'm just staying ahead of the curve. By the way, it's the iPhone 6Ss (second "s" stands for the svelteiest)
I do know svelteiest is not a real word and there is no iPhone Ss moniker.
Our sveltierest iPhone yet.

Until next year when they can Svelte .08 off of svelte making it the most svelteierestlyest iPhone ever.

This year's iPhone should be called the iPhone 7.
I have had 8 iPhones in the family since Verizon started carrying it. Not one has had a broken screen. Now the guy I work with drops his at least once a day. Everybody is different.
Indeed. Some of us are clumsy; some aren't.

Most svelte?
