philbot you are starting to piss me off. at first I halfway believed you, but now it seems pretty clear you're incorrect <hr></blockquote>
Crayz, why on earth should what I say pi$$ you off? I know there are G5's ready cos I've seen a test unit. It was recalled because quote: "job done, we're ready to roll".
Now to me that sounds like the chip passed the test, but as for shipping dates, who knows? There maybe a wait for the graphics card, memory, motherboard, new case etc...
all these things could add up to a few more months sure, but I believe it will be sooner rather than later.
With Apple it's hard to tell isn't it? They could be stockpiling G5 towers now, so they will be "available immediately" in March for all I know.
The only thing we can be really sure of is that Apple will continue to surprise us!
bad job at trying to cover your ass</strong><hr></blockquote>
yawn,
bad job at trying to discredit me
I'm just passing along what I hear. If you don't believe the information is accurate because you have some other information that contradicts it, then post and discuss. However, since I've already said (and several people have confirmed) that I don't make up crap and post it here like so many other people do, please respect the fact that I am telling the truth. I have no reason to lie or make things up - that would only serve to discredit anything else I might have to contribute in the future. Let's discuss the information and not flame the messenger.
I believe I Have Questions. Can't say if his cousin works for Moto but the information is in line with reasonable expectations and what I know.
As for the 'future' Apollo Motorola is skipping the .15 micron node and going straight to .13. Most of the industry is taking this route as the extra expenditure and effort involved is minimized by your savings on die size.
