Jobs using a Dell @ Pixar?

According to the San Fran Gate's gossip columnist Beth Lisick, there is an unconfirmed report that Jobs has a Dell on his desk at Pixar. Most likely this is just bait intended to throw mac users into a tizzy, but it is definitely curious if true.

I bet its a NeXT machine. They were black like the current Dells are.

It is a dell, but it is only used as a storage drive for incoming work samples.

I would imagine the render farms are all x86, so having a Dell around might make things simpler.

If he HAD to have a PC, it doesn't NEED to be a Dell. You'd think of all things that would be the last one he would want. Any generic PC would do. Dell offers nothing that you can't get from any other PC maker.

Hell, even a custom box would be better...and cheaper.

Bill Gates bought his mom an iMac and supposedly Gates uses a Mac on his desk at M$ HQ.

I seriously doubt that Jobs uses a Dell for anything other than having the satisfaction of knowing what his competitions PC looks like.

That's odd.... a Dell at his Pixar office would no doubt look totally out of place. His office from the quick glance that I saw looked like a small Apple store that doesn't have anything to sell.

He always seems to reply from the NeXTMailer application at his pixar email address, suggesting he uses a NeXTCube or a PC running nextstep.
