glean what you can from the pics. i know you can learn a lot from all the clutter and mess that's surrounding my desk area hhaehaehae.
why the hell almost everyone has Cinema Display?

i got mine (ACD) when they were offering $500 off with purchase of a new PM (~March 2k2) plus i was already getting the educational pricing.
and since it is the first mac i've ever owned, i wanted to get top-of-the-line components. and i'm purty sure (i'm hoping!) this monitor is gonna last me a looooooong time.
of course, it really helps in FCP, Director, AE, Flash and all the other timeline apps.
What I said 'something' is related to internal component.
This is..........
A GeForce 4 Ti Card!
I actually wasn't planning to get this card. But I got a special deal on this card (15% OFF!) PLUS I don't have to pay anything until next Feburary!
The card....man...is long.......
Even though later if I don't like this card I can sell it off at eBay without losing money
Roughly testing some apps. Lightwave 7 absolutly smokes with this card. Cinema 4D however doesn't use any hardware accleration at all....but version 8 will and hope the guys at Maxon aren't lying to me. Otherwise I will kill them
New machine folks. Yeah, probably lousy timing, but I couldn't wait another day for it, and I couldn't pass up the deal. Long story short, it worked out to a $450 discount on the machine. Couldn't say no to that, even if there may be an update around the corner.
Also went wireless again, but this time I decided not to bend over and take it from Apple with the Base Station. I went with the Netgear MR314 wireless router for $239 CDN (Airport Base Station is $469 CDN). Almost half the price, and WAY better range - amazing, really.

1) No way to turn off the display while keeping the CPU on
2) No way to share it with multiple machine without spending over 600 bucks for that fu(king ADC/DVI switch box
These problems are omitted when I am using DVI or VGA based monitors

do we now make a teaser ?
