Has anybody been able to download Maya for OSX recently? I've been trying for days but all I get is a message that their servers are overloaded and to try again in 1 hour.
I did and the watermark is a complete annoyance. It is overbearing to say the least and ALWAYS there in ALL views, not just rendered scenes. If they cut it by at least 50%, made it more grey instead of white and limited it to rendered scenes, not the workspaces it would be perfect. But for me right now, I consider it pretty much unusable for anything more than exploring menus.

they aren't going to just give away 8000 dollars. even for little things.
it's to learn the program and test it out. not for producing anything even if its only going to be something very minor.
the link mentioned worked great. averaged 420K/sec
I've learned to ignore the watermark. When I'm working in it, I don't even see it anymore. It's incredibly fun, once you figure out some of the basics.
