I am looking for a good pixel font.. ie, font that is not anti-aliased and can be made really small (for web pages, graphics, etc). I have found a couple but they all suck.

Does anyone know what kind of font used here? <a href="http://www.d-exposure.com/"; target="_blank">http://www.d-exposure.com/</a>;

Im looking for something like that... a fixed size font that is legible at really small sizes (6-10points)

thanks

    God, this is the most annoyingly overused, cliched-*** , "hey, look at me! I'm so cutting edge" lame, white-teen-into-hip-hop-music-and-web-design font I've seen in years.

    That said . . . what is it?

    (Yes, I have a chip on my shoulder as a former hip hop fan who used to be really into the underground stuff up until about 1995-96, when I finally gave up and decided the commercializiation of it was irreversible. But that's another story.)

    I believe that font is called Mini 7 which is from <a href="http://www.wpdfd.com/mini7.htm"; target="_blank">here.</a> It used to be free, but now it's not. If anyone still has the free version, could you post it on your iDisk or something?

    Okay, I just remembered that if you download some of the faces for Audion and open up the .sit file, you'll see that some of them come with a copy of Mini 7. So there's one way to get your hands on that font.

    Wow, I went to the Audion site and I actually recognized the face that had the font in it! If you download the f1 face it indeed comes with the elusive Mini 7 font.

    Download it from: <a href="http://www.panic.com/audion/faces.php?f=f1"; target="_blank">http://www.panic.com/audion/faces.php?f=f1</a>;

    Enjoy!

    ZO, the email is kinda big, if you don't get one let me know. Also, when you use any font under 8 pixels, make sure you take anti aliasing off or set it to none in PS.

    Fontogropher will convert any font to any platform. I use it almost every day.

    Try typing 'artwiz' into a search engine. He does really nice, unaliased, small fonts.

    You'll probably have to convert them to a mac-uable format.

    mints-mild (menus) and mints-strong (menu titles) are viewable in this screenshot : <a href="http://www.themes.org/themes/965/screenshot/"; target="_blank">http://www.themes.org/themes/965/screenshot/</a>;

    snap, my favorite, can be seen here : <a href="http://www.themes.org/resources/366/image/"; target="_blank">http://www.themes.org/resources/366/image/</a>;

    there's many more, though, and they are all free.

    ZO: print to .pdf and send the pdf. It will have the necessary fonts embedded in it (?)

    I've found with OS X I don't need to convert PC fonts to Mac format to use them, which has saved me a ton of time!

    The prob I have is that I need to send a meager word doc made on a mac to a pc printing place where they will need the special fonts (translitteration fonts used in translation work). So I gotta convert the fonts from Mac to PC format to ensure they can print the damn thing. I guess the best solution would be to make it into a PDF and embed everything.,

    Thanks for the amazing feedback, all these fonts are great!
