Don't you love the topic, gotta click to see whats goin' on. I'm good. But anywho, is it possible to cheat the system?

Example: <a href="http://www.ubid.com/actn/opn/getpage.asp?AuctionId=524782188"; target="_blank">http://www.ubid.com/actn/opn/getpage.asp?AuctionId=524782188</a>;

Its a 'new' 667 GA PB = 500 bucks. I'm not looking to buy it, well if it could get a computer out of it... Anywho I've seen these online everywhere. HUGE deals on apple computers. There is the 200+ post at Macnn on a shady computer company. There was a small one here. But Wow I'm rambing. Yeah This guy says he is going to do escrow only. I mean I SO WANT TO BELIVE THAT this is possible. But i KNOW its not I just wantto know what everyoe thinks about this. And PLEASE don't use 'if it sounds to good to be true...' Even if it still applies. So yeah Type away..

    If I were you, I'd go for it. $230, sweet. Unless he wants to get his ass sued, put in a bid at the last possible minute for like $235.

    Escrow is where there's a middleman who makes sure both sides get what they require for the deal to take place ie I send my money to 'mr. escrow', you send your laptop, and he sends the cash to you and the laptop to me. Whereupon I laugh maniacally at having gotten a 667 mhz G4 Ti for $235.

    Hahhahahaahaa....!!!

    That has scam all over it

    I tried to buy my powerbook 667 over ubid (sometime before December), the seller said to send him money (about $2,800) to him western union. I said he could ram it up his ass before I send him money western union. About two weeks later I get an email from ubid saying he was a fraud.

    I thought I'd try my luck and I've decided that ubid sucks. I can try to place a bid on an auction that they say is open only to find out that it's not accepting bids. WTF? Also, look at the locations of some of these people: EU, zip 12345? Ha Ha. Shipping weight of 3lbs for a powerbook? Not any Tibook that I know. I think that I'll just have to deal with my ibook If it's too good to be true... oh, wait.... nevermind
