... and so for this French doctor life changed dramatically when he, quite innocently, replied in a forum thread, that for all intents and purposes posed an innocent question by an innocent sounding poster, "Should there be a forum for locked threads?", and then instead of going sailing at the weekend as he had planned, found himself locked in same thread, a thread that only exists in what we call, "The Twilight Zone"
Ignoring how this should be in the forum called "Suggestions" ( ), I don't think that is a good idea simply because it would lend to more confusion and be completely useless. Locking threads and leaving them where they are and then moving the active thread to the proper forum is appropriate. Not only do the mods (most of the time) point out what forum the thread in question has moved to, but the locked thread acts as a reminder to us what is and is not meant for each of these forums, by example.
Perhaps a "Really Stupid Threads" forum would be funny, though...

Unfortunately it's difficult to sail in the center of France, and i have hurt terribily my knee yesterday while playing golf  .
So i have to stay quiet on this not so beautifull sunday, watching TV, chating on the net, prisonner of this terrible thread where no people can escape

Sometimes its entirely up to a admin to decide when a conversation ends...
Many of very interesting threads have ended becuase of admin disapproval...
I think there should be places in forums for locked threads to continue...
they can still be permanetly locked if it really strays from sanity...

Oh, and thank you
The thread would still appear locked in the initial forum, and simply redirect to the unmoderated forum. I think it's a good idea
