G4 Cube Fishtank

Hi guys,

It occured to me earlier that it could be fun to make a fishtank from a G4 cube casing, in the same way that peole used to make fishtanks for early all-in-ones etc. Has anyone done this, have any advice, or know of any useful websites? I have searched on Google, but not found anything useful.

Any help appreciated, this would be the best fish tank! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

I have an aquarium, and the Cube(got one of those also) is about 1.5gal. This is the size of a small fish bowl. Then you still have the problem of getting the plastic surrounding to core off. Now you need to place a filter, gravel, a plant, and a heater. You're down to 1 gal. now. This is good for nothing. The goldfish(you are thinking goldfish right) will not grow, be challenged for air, and get sick VERY quickly.

Just go down to your local pet store and buy a 20 gal. tank. Nice idea though. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

Got to be worth a try though? Just a small fish!

Anyone else got any ideas? Thanks for that by the way, I'll give it a thought. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

I think the about the only productive thing you could do would be to make it into a kleenex dispenser like that one guy did. Or try and shove a toaster up in it, and keep it from melting the plastic when it heats up.

    Hey,

Why is there a somewhat backlash of the G4 Cube? I use mine everyday (G4 450 w/ 1Gb ram, 42 Gb. IBM Deskstar) and it still looks and works beautifully. I get a chuckle every time I visit Creative Directors and Art Directors in Advertising/ Publishing Firms and I see The Cube. It affirms what we, Industrial Design affirmative creatives, know a good thing when we see one.

Ummm... why would anyone's Cube be relegated to fish tank status already...? Everyone I know that owns one, LOVES it... not even CLOSE to putting it out to pasture.

Mind directing me to some of these sites? My LC 575 would make a kick-ass fishtank.
