He failed to pronounce "Al-u-Mini-um" properly. In the far east copying is a compliment, not shameful.

In the corporate world and in this industry in specific, copying in such a shamless way is a disgrace beyond comperability.

Samsung Mobile marketing division is a bunch of loosers judging by this video and more from the past. I cant just understand how nobody raised his hand when they had the internal discussion about these videos saying that this is absolutly unacceptable and he would be ashamed as a professional if this video goes public. Not even the interim in their office.

Gimme a break Samsung does not have to copy Apple to be neck and neck with them. Apple is no clean company also. Look what they owe in back taxes in Ireland than start to talk.

Can you please link the article for us that shows a judgement against Apple ordering them to pay back taxes in Ireland? The leaders of Ireland insist that Apple owes them nothing. Once you do that you can start to talk...

Well, Samsung is not marketing to Apple and Apple users but to non Apple users who probably haven't seen Apple's ads or not familiar with them. So why not just copy given that earlier blatant design copies were only punished by a slap on the wrist. Samsung is very scare seeing its mobile division's revenue and profit down for so many quarters and made a decision to survive, reputation of copying Apple be damed. Nokia's executives and Motorola's executives must be kicking their own crutches for not doing what Samsung was and is doing.

At some point I wonder if there is not a crossing of the line in terms of copyright. Given the recent flurry of musicians hauled over the coals for plagiarism, why not ad creators too?

    Low rung Apple Ad Executive:
" Damn Samsung, they blatantly copied our ad. We should copy theirs."

    Tim:
"So, just run one of our ads!"

That was a sad and empty script. They could just as well change every line to "we're really cool". It's the message they're trying to convey. The more they say it, the less I believe in it. There's absolutely no informative aspect in Samsung's video. It's designed to brag. It was the worst..

Their reasoning: it takes too long build a reputation. Let's just use marketing as a short cut and tell people how we want them to view us someday..."digital craftsmen!!!" It would be like if the Chicago Cubs made a commercial in which they refer to themselves as World Series winners.

They even got the voice to be "Ive-esque".

What's next is a testimonial video featuring a paid British actor against a white background, talking about how Korean craftsmen obsess over each nanometer. I assume Ali G. would be a good fit.

You don’t even have a hint of a clue as to what you are talking about. You simply regurgitate what you read on the Internet somewhere.

Again, Samsung shows how completely lacking they are in creativity!

I have yet to conceive of a situation where the "edge" is relevant! It's a solution in search of a problem.

For me the Samsung ad is a macabre and sort of titteringly risible parody of itself doing Apple. It reminded me of the difference between the production of the original Virgin Atlantic 25 years ad, and the parody of the original ad in the Best Western Hotels version.

And what about the tooling shot (below) it looks like a part from a $2 Indian bicycle pump.

I wonder how much Jony Ive charged to do that voiceover for Samsung.

Samsung is garbage. I wouldn't use their usb3 ssd if it was given to me.

With the silly British narrator, I... literally.. thought this was a joke. I thought they were making fun of Apple, I was thinking, how dare they do another parody of Apple. But, there were no punchlines and then the Samsung logo came up. And I laughed. :D

Amazing. The film crew is so dumb that they didn't even notice this cobbled-together shit. Truly laughable.

Nice catch. You should send this still to Gruber. Please send this still to Gruber.

Yep- clearly "nanometers" of tolerance in that photo. I mean hey, that shit looks off only by a few mm, or a few billion nanometers. Clearly they don't give a ****. But hey, the screen is curved on one side. Why? Who gives a ****, just because.

Lol! It makes my friends mad when ever I ask them "why does your iPhone says Samsung on it?" Yet they is nothing they can say. And the battery life is bad on the s6

One of the stupidest series of words I've ever seen strung together on the internet, and even worse when considering the article topic. And you've managed to accumulate 2,500 posts without being banned? Amazing. What's also amazing is the moderation on this forum.
