hey.. yea, actually keeping busy here in CA

I haven't heard anything about invitation only. I seriously doubt that. they are making a very big deal of this opening. It's gonna be packed. Especially considering macworld expo is going on at the same time. wouldn't surprise me if Apple ran buses to the store.

    wish I could go <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

I love how it says "Station A" over the door.

I think that's original to the building too.

I'm confused.. I thought the SoHo store would be two stories. Looks like it is, only the second story is the post office? Darn.

That building sure doesn't look very "Apple." I thought they would redo the exterior to look more like the other stores, but they didn't.

I'm still waiting for the Chicago (Mich. Ave) store to open. It's an old Gap store, so it looks like an Apple store.

The second story is part of the store - you can see the worker working up there.

It says U.S. Post Office because the building was originally like that. Apparently, Apple is restoring the outside of the building to original.

    1. NY won't let you screw up a historic building.

    2. It's much cooler that way.

I agree, I also like the Post Office look to the building...

Maybe Steve will make a comment about it during the keynote?

oh, by the way, check your PM's...

Hey, Don't let Applenut get all the credit. after all, I was on the train for 1 hour to take those pictures!

Anyways, It is definitely a two story store. I know because there is a setup on the top floor and the 1st floor (which is blacked-out) also has a setup (somebody opened the door, but the camera was too slow to get a picture).

What do you mean? I haven't really read any of his posts. So I don't understand.

If you mean posting a lot, then I don't have enough time to do that. Between getting Linux/Mac OS X/Be OS to work on my 9500 all at the same time and other things on the internet...I just don't have enough time.

Cool, that's what I was hoping. Maybe they can also bait some visitors who need to mail stuff.
