The reason your phone updated fine is because it wasn't on the beta. If your iPad is running the beta of 9.1 you won't be able to roll it back to 9.01

Yes. I know. But you would think that these same updates would have come out for 9.1. And as I said, my beta stopped being described that way on my iPad over a week ago. Now, they have a 9.1.1 update available, but apparently not for beta testers yet. But it does seem as though my 9.1 isn't considered a beta anymore.

I've noticed that Podcasts now play with non-black surroundings when you play them full screen, which is kind of irritating:

Or am I just doing something wrong?

Yeah 9.1 isn't labeled as beta for me either. I'm assuming the public release of the latest beta will be released soon. There has usually been a delay between the developer release and the public beta release.

Not happy... Did they really have to resend the whole iOS9 package - 1.4GB for iPhones and 1.9GB for iPads?

Siri was acting kind of weird for me too right after the update. After a restart of the ? Watch and my iPhone just as idrey suggested, everything is working wonderfully now. Better than ever, actually. ????

What? The download for iPhones was about 35MB, and for the iPad, about 350MB.

Yes, I haven't had any issues so far. Still isn't labeled as a beta release when I check in settings which I also thought was the case previously.

Yep... They sure did when done via iTunes v12.3 x64... I already had iOS 9.0 for iPad a week earlier... Maybe iTunes v12.3 which was updated a day earlier lost the original iOS 9.0 packages. I suppose this was just a hiccup like the reason for iOS 9.0.1. Who knows... Apple should do better QA testing. Everything is okay now. :-)

I hadn't encountered any issues but had in the past with alarms. I don't know who handles the part of the app that handles alarms but they should be drawn and quartered until it is perfect. Having your phone act as an alarm clock shouldn't be a big deal but Apple has major bad mojo and history regarding bug fixes and this matter. I missed a century bike ride earlier this year when I overslept. Woke up to an iPhone showing an alarm but no vibration and no sound.

My downloads were all over the air, direct to my iPhone and ipad. I didn't use iTunes for that. But you say that you want from 9.0? That would be a reason for the big download for the ipad when going to 9.1.1.

It makes no sense to see that for the iPhone though. I don't know any one who has seen that. Are you sure you didn't go from 8.4 to 9.0.1? That would cause that large download.

Have they added Apple News to the UK?

If you want Apple News change your region to the US in Settings.

It looks like it'll launch in UK with iOS 9.1.

I upgraded from iOS 8.4.1 to iOS 9 for both iPad Air and iPhone 5 in the morning it became available in Australia. Then to iOS 9.0.1 last week.

I will compare OTA and iTunes download sizes when Apple releases iOS 9.1 into the wild soon.

Well, well as expected, it happened again... Even with the latest iTunes 12.3.1 x64, when iPhone 5 plugged in, it showed upgrade file is 1.55 GB which I cancelled...

Then I did OTA via Settings on iPhone 5, it showed upgrade file is 178 MB...

Apple should get their act together and fix this iTunes download iOS upgrade file size issue!!!
