I'm expecting Apple to give a sneak peak of the iPhone7 at WWDC next month.
Usually full leaks are seen in March. The iPhone6 was leaked in March. This is already mid-May. Apple is only leaking the back shell. The front holds the big surprise.
No more home button. Near ZERO bezel front display.
iPhone 7 will be 5 inch screen iPhone 7 Pro will be 5.8 inch screen Next Spring we will see iPhone 7SE with 4 inch screen
There really is no reason to have a 4 inch and a 4.7 inch phone, sizes are too similiar.
I think the 3 sizes they have is just fine.
No more, no less.
Whatever they currently offer is perfect, and they shouldn't change. But if they DO change, then THAT will be perfect, and I wouldn't want the new selection to change.
First of all the design around the camera, flash and mic areas is really messy. And apart from the antenna lines, looks worse than the 6S! I hope this is not real. If it is then maybe that second hole will be used as a noise cancellation mic to cut down on wind rush when recording video.
These pictures always look bad but there are adjustments they could still make. The antenna bands should look better being reduced to a single line:
The camera always stands out because it is reflective and has flat sides so it creates sharp highlights and heavy contact shadows in bright directional light. They could taper the sides of the outer ring and possibly make it a matte appearance to diffuse the reflections like they did with the chamfered edges of the SE:
Some parts of the phone look nice when they catch the highlights like the recessed home button ring but when it's a protrusion, it would be best to make it blend in. They might not be able to color match it to the metal back if it's stainless steel but they can reshape it and matte it. It's still going to stick out but they could draw less attention to it.
Maybe this is where the rumors came from before about a tapered design. They might have experimented with making the top thicker to avoid the camera sticking out.
The large middle hole in the article photo is the normal mic hole so the smaller hole below it is the added one, it makes sense that it would be a noise/wind-cancelling mic.

The larger iPhone would appeal to photographers and people who want longer battery life. Dual cameras can do HDR and depth of field blurring and it's still the only one that has optical image stabilization. Using 'Pro' instead of 'Plus' would emphasize that it's not just a bigger version of the 6, which 6 Plus suggests. I don't think it matters much either way but it's the naming convention with the iPad.

No, no, no. The front of the iPhone 7 will look the same at the iPhone 6s. There's no way Apple will embed the Home button into the display and change the bezels this year, they are keeping all that in store for the iPhone 8.
It looks cleaner than the iP6-6s without the horizontal antenna bands across the back. Besides the (allegedly) dual camera module and more RAM for the Plus ("Pro"?) devices, it seems the iPhone 7 design will be very conservative (which doesn't really bother me, as long as there are significant improvements to overall performance). Maybe they're really saving the big flashy all-new design for 2017 after all.
