Prolific iPhone case producer Incipio has announced the Ox Case, an accessory for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus that marks the return of a headphone jack -- one that can be used while still allowing the iPhone to charge at the same time.

The Incipio Ox Case's built-in headphone socket lets users connect wired audio devices to the iPhone 7, without using a separate adapter. There is also another externally accessible Lightning port, which can be used for charging and data, and can be used simultaneously with the audio jack.

Constructed from a "Plextonium" polycarbonate, the Ox Case is claimed to have a shock-absorbent exterior to help prevent damage from drops, while also using a snap-on design for quickly inserting or removing the iPhone from the case.

On display at CES, Incipio is planning to ship the Ox Case in the first quarter for $60, in a choice of black, forest, and purple color options.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus ships with a pair of Lightning-connected EarPods, but also a legacy headphone adapter in the box. According to Apple, the decision to remove the headphone jack was "courageous" and allowed the company to include more features in the iPhone 7, without adding to the thickness of the device.

This is hilarious. Another attempt to make up for Apple's 'shortcomings' like this POS:

No uglier than any other iPhone case, especially charging cases.

I would of liked this with both lighting and USB TypeC Ports for charging  (maybe even MicroUsb but I hate that).
Looking forward to a USB type C future.

there is no need for the 'chin', there are many battery cases etc that are able to do without it including this latest one on indiegogo:

which also incorporates a built in battery and micro sd-card slot.

That one on Indiegogo is much thicker than the Incipio case. The Incipio case does indeed need to be elongated to make room for the components.

Really all I want is a case that can add in the headphone jack. I invested in another case called Fuze and it fell apart after a month.
